How to use both without leaving a payment gap
2. Put the actual deal into the online order
Product specifications, quantities, ship date, acceptance criteria and other key terms must be clear in the order. Trade Assurance does not turn a vague specification into a clear claim.
3. Treat a different payee or changed account as a hold
Do not assume a platform badge validates bank details. If a supplier asks for payment to another company or changes the account, stop and verify the request through a known channel. If the requested route is outside Alibaba.com, read what off-platform payment changes.
4. Keep evidence inside the order record
Alibaba's Buyer Central tells buyers to use the Message Center and pay through Alibaba.com for Trade Assurance eligibility. Confirm the current order page and terms at the time of payment.

Yes. One provides supplier assessment evidence; the other may protect an eligible order and payment. Use both and still check the transaction entities.
Does the platform badge verify the bank beneficiary?
No automatic beneficiary verification should be inferred from the badge. Compare the payment instruction with the Alibaba.com order page and request relationship evidence for any different company.
What if the supplier replaces the collection account?
Pause. Re-open the authenticated order page, contact the supplier through a known channel, and request written relationship and authorization evidence. Do not rely on the new email alone.
