Use this page when a supplier says platform fees, taxes, or account limits require you to pay by wire, PayPal, or a different company account. The key question is not whether the supplier sounds reasonable. It is whether the company, PI issuer, and bank beneficiary still match.
Platform messaging and order records can help preserve context. Once payment moves outside the platform, the buyer needs stronger evidence that the payee belongs to the same supplier and that the PI names the right contracting party.
Treat the payment request as a document consistency check. The supplier profile, business license, PI, company stamp, bank beneficiary, and bank country should tell one coherent story.
Pause payment if the supplier refuses to explain the payee relationship, changes accounts near the payment deadline, asks for urgency, or cannot provide company proof that connects the payment entity to the supplier.
| Signal | Buyer assumption | Practical reality |
|---|---|---|
| Platform profile | A verified or long-running profile means the payment request is safe. | The profile does not prove the bank beneficiary on a separate PI belongs to the same company. |
| Different company payee | A related export company is normal, so it is low risk. | It may be normal, but the relationship should be documented before money is sent. |
| Urgent discount | The supplier is offering a better deal if I pay quickly. | Urgency reduces verification time and often hides unresolved payee or contract problems. |
